Comments: Rhys joined the band in
September of 2001, he was found by Jack, while he was slapping out
chilli peppers riffs (Around the World) in one of their GCSE music
classes. Jack asked him to join and after three weeks of
persuasion, he finally joined the band. Musically Rhys is
influenced by bands such as Red hot Chilli Peppers and Jane’s
Addiction and tries to emulate the high octane bass riffs of the
two bands. Rhys also writes the lyrics for I*M*O and when writing
them draws influences from both the grunge scene and 70’s
punk. Rhys’ bass of choice is a red fender Jazz bass (nicknamed
Jeff), although he has also played though basses from Ventura and
the Bass Collection. Rhys also plays six string electric and
acoustic guitars and occasionally swaps instruments with Jack and
although it has not happened yet, instrument swapping is a
possibility.
